This 41 year old man has a very healthy mouth, however he likes to play hockey and got hit directly on his upper left lateral incisor. The two broken pieces remained in his mouth long enough to damage the surrounding bone.
Here is tooth, in two pieces.
The gum tissue is opened enough to add bone graft particles and a membrane to hold them in place.
Here you can see the membrane in place with the gum ready to suture.
Now the gum is healed with a nice natural shape to receive the implant.
The implant is now placed through a small opening to help preserve the shape of the gum.
The final implant crown is cemented. This patient is now ready for more hockey, this time with a MOUTH GUARD!
