Stone Model with 2-unit cantilever bridge in place. A cantilever is when one tooth is extended from only one tooth (single abutment tooth) without a second tooth involved. It is a conservative approach to tooth replacement where only one other tooth is prepared for a crown instead of two. The tooth being used to support the cantilever must be strong.
